How are you? I hope all of you guys still healthy in this moment. Anyway, happy new year! I hope that this year all of our dreams will come true. Back to the topic. So in this blog and this new semester, we will talk about personal letter. So, let's check this out!

Personal Letter

What is personal letter? Personal letter is a letter that written for personal use to a known person like family, friends, and others. So, personal letter can be an informal letter or a formal letter. You can write anything you like in this letter, it's up to you. Because this letter can be said that this letter is personal or private. Oh, the purpose of writing this letter is usually to give each other news or ask things that are personal.

Structure

Basicly, you can write this letter as you like, does not have to follow a set structure (if you write in an informal letter). But, if you don't know how to make the letter, i will give you a sample.

The structure :

1. Date
2. Address
3. Salutation
4. Name
5. Introduction (Opening)
6. Main topic
7. Closing
8. Greetings for closing
9. Signature

Type of personal letter

Based on the recipient, divided into 2 :

A. Person to person letters, such as :

1. Condolence letter
2. Friendly letter
3. Goodbye letter
4. Love letter
5. Letter of apology
6. Letter of complaint
7. Letter of congratulations

B. Person to business letters, such as :

1. Acceptance letter
2. Application letter
3. Commendation letter
4. Complaint letter
5. Cover letter
6. Financial hardship letter
7. Financial information letter

But, personal letter commonly used for person to person letter not person to business letters.

Example

Dear Grandma,

How are you today? I hope you are healthy and well as always. I am writing this letter to thank you for the gift you sent for my birthday yesterday. I really like the toys and clothes you bought for me.

I can't wait to visit your house later this year! We'll plant flowers, cook bread, and sew as usual right? Thank you very much for caring and loving me.

Love,

Your Granddaughter
